·        Facility fees will be paid by MAGERS LODGING

·        All teams will stay at the Best Western Deerfield Inn.

 

TIME(s):                                                        TBA - Region V Softball Committee

 

OFFICIALS:                                                  The Region V Sport Chair will make recommendations to the Supervisor of Officials.  RATE = $50 per game

                                                                        Each conference will assign 3 umpires for the tournament.

                                                                        UIC fee = $150.00 or assigning tournament

REGIONAL PLAYOFF FORMAT:             8 teams, double elimination tournament

                                                                        NAIA 8-team bracket format and seeding

 

PLAYOFF RATING/RANKING PROCEDURE:  ranking system - approved by the NAIA and

  Region V Management Committee

                                                                                           Joe Fischer, University of Illinois, Springfield

 

·        David Stair, liaison to softball, will oversee the rating system and has the authority to review ratings each week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CRITERIA FOR TEAM SELECTION

HAAC Tournament Champion

HAAC regular season Champion

AMC Tournament Champion

AMC regular season Champion

HAAC regular season Runner-up

AMC regular season Runner-up

2 at-large selections who have not qualified for the tournament based on the last Region V poll.

·        If the Tournament Champion and regular-season Champion is the same team, the 3^rd place regular-season finish will qualify for the regional tournament.

 

 

CRITERIA FOR TOURNAMENT SEEDING

All teams will be seeded according the final Region V Softball ranking, Tuesday, May 2, 2006.
