OLATHE, Kan. - Oklahoma City University shot a third round score of three-under par (285) and extended their lead to 12 shots heading into the final round of the 2006 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships.   The Stars will be looking to capture their fifth national title in six years after winning the 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 events.  Point Loma Nazarene University's (Calif.) Joe Prince shot his second round of two-under par and leads all players with a three-day total of 209 (-7).  The 55^th annual event is hosted by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce and is held at Prairie Highlands Golf Course.

Oklahoma Christian University posted an even-round score of 288 in the third round and sits in second place alone.  Johnson & Wales University (Fla.), last year's national champion, trails the Eagles by four strokes.  Saint Ambrose University (Iowa) remains in fourth place while Point Loma Nazarene University (Calif.), The Master's College (Calif.) and Malone College (Ohio) are each a stroke apart in the fifth, sixth, and seventh spots. 

The University of Victoria's (B.C.) Todd Halpen trails Prince by three shots heading into the final round of action.  In a three-way tie for third place at one-under par is Drew Chuipek of Saint Ambrose, Daniel Mitchell of Oklahoma City, and Rhein Gibson of Oklahoma Christian. 

Final round tee times begin at 8 a.m. CST on Friday.  After the conclusion of today's third round, the field was cut to the top 17 teams (plus ties) and the top 40 individuals (plus ties).  Fans can follow live scoring and view complete team and individual results at www.naia.org.
