Awards

The NAIA presents two recipients with Athletic Trainer Association (ATA) awards each year.

The Al Ortolani Under Graduate Scholarship Award is given to a student endorsed by the ATA and a member of an NAIA school. The scholarship is used to assist the student in their pursuit of a profession in athletic training.

The Athletic Trainer of the Year Award is given to an athletic trainer employed by an NAIA institution. Nominees for this award are distinguished in the athletic training profession, and exhibit professional conduct befitting the NAIA.

The Champions of Character Team Award, sponsored by Buffalo Funds, is selected annually at the end of each sport season. All NAIA teams are eligible and must be nominated by their institution. The winng team will receive the award at their sport's national championship.
