Resources for Youth Sport Leaders
We know that youth participation in sports and other extracurricular activities is beneficial in developing well-rounded individuals. The Champions of Character program can help with practical methods and useful information to help you communicate character values in everyday life.
Many youth sports leaders are parents turned volunteer coaches with lots of questions about how to lead a team. We can help you:
- Teach a spectrum of values using themes based on character
- Learn common traits among successful coaches
- Teach character by redefining the term athlete
- Learn how to transition from a parent to a volunteer coach
- Work with parents to help them learn their role with the team
Contact the NAIA to inquire about speakers and presentations available for your youth team and parents.
